02. Hardware & Network

A RTLS System is made up of various hardware components (e.g. Trackers, Access Points, PoE switches, servers, …), software components (Positioning Engines, Applications, …) as well as cabling to connect these components. For the system to work seamlessly, it is important to plan the network configurations for the deployment carefully.

Selecting the right enterprise-level hardware for running the Favendo stack is an important step in ensuring that Favendo’s suite can provide the best positioning performance.

In the next pages you will find typical hardware requirements for deployments according to the defined tiers.
